About NetRights

NetRights is the Social Media, Internet & Media law department of Parnalls Solicitors and offers specialist media law services with an emphasis on digital and online legal issues. NetRights protects the reputations, rights and brands of individuals and businesses in today’s largely unregulated digital world.

We provide our clients with urgent assistance when things go wrong, either on social media, online or in the press.  We tackle problems such as negative and damaging online posts or articles, trolling and cyber bullying, online photos and revenge porn, impersonator social media accounts, cybersquatting, data and information breaches and ‘fake news’ and disinformation, including by seeking urgent removal of the damaging online content. NetRights advises on a full range of online legal issues including defamation, misuse of private information, breach of confidential information, harassment, breach of data protection rights as well as infringement of intellectual property rights including copyright and trademark. The boutique legal service also provides emergency reputation and crisis management advice, negative online reputation reviews, social media policies and staff training to help organisations avoid liability for employee social media use. NetRights also offers its clients a unique Digital Asset Management service. NetRights is headed up by Laura Baglow, a specialist media lawyer with nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of social media, internet and media law.  Laura has worked for a number of specialist London media law firms, including training at Carter-Ruck. She also worked for Channel 4, advising on current affairs programme making, investigative journalism, news and live broadcasting. She has acted in numerous complex and high-profile defamation and privacy claims on behalf of celebrities, politicians and prominent individuals and businesses and has also advised numerous clients on social media abuse and risk. NetRights is committed to providing its clients high quality and practical legal advice.  We also pride ourselves on always being approachable and supportive to our clients.
